About the Course
Today's children and adolescents are growing up in a rapidly evolving digital landscape that brings tremendous opportunities alongside various challenges, including mental health concerns and issues of child safety in the digital era. Their still-developing cognitive, emotional, and social capacities make this group particularly vulnerable, while child protection systems in many countries have yet to fully keep pace with the speed of technological change.
The CLSD International Summer Course 2026 serves as an international academic forum that brings together students and professionals from various disciplines, including psychology, medicine, and public health, to collectively build understanding and capacity in protecting and promoting the wellbeing of children and adolescents in the digital age.
Objectives
- To build interdisciplinary understanding of child and adolescent safety, health, and well-being in the digital era through integrated perspectives from psychology, medicine, and related fields.
- To equip participants with scientific knowledge and practical skills in areas such as trauma, mental health, digital risks, and child protection.
- To strengthen capacity for early detection, prevention, and intervention across family, school, community, and digital contexts.
- To foster international collaboration in developing innovative, evidence-based, and culturally-relevant child protection strategies.
